Inappropriate

Ok, so I don't watch much TV, and when I do watch, it's usually not something like, oh, let's say . . . America's Next Top Model.  However, it happened to be on one evening while I was cleaning, and I was listening to it, and, well, I'm hooked.  So, now once a week, I'm watching an hour of "smut" as Robbie calls it.  (Like he can talk with some of the shows he watches!)

Anyhow, I digress.  I'm home on vacation this week.  Today I watched almost the entire 2005 season of America's Next Top Model throughout the day.  Aren't re-runs great!  When Bella got home from school, one of the episodes was finishing.  The challenge for the girls in that episode had been to use the things they found in nature to create their outfit for the photo shoot.  So, these photos had very scantilly clad women with branches, grass, mud, etc. as a majority of their "outfit."  One of the girls was wearing some leaves and holding her hands over her breasts.  Bella said, "MOM, did you SEE that picture?!?!?!  She barely has any clothes on!  That is really inappropriate!!!"

I laughed so hard she kept asking me why I was laughing!!!

Soccer Part 2

Bella had her soccer tournament last weekend.  After 2 days, 10 hours, 4 games, 2 shootouts, and 1 almost-brawl, her team took 3rd place!  Great work Team Thunder!!!

Hunting Pumpkins

Daddy's co-worker has a small pumpkin patch at her house and said we could go pick some pumpkins with the girls.  Sophia fell asleep on the way, so no pictures of her, but daddy still picked out a pumpkin for her!  Bella and I picked out our pumpkins too.  Once we got home we decided it was time to get out the decorations too.  We're ready for fall now!!!

Getting ready to find some pumpkins!

She liked this huge green pumpkin, but decided she wanted an orange one instead!

Daddy had to do the hard work!

Taking a break to share some love!

Soccer

Bella has been playing soccer since she was 4.  When she started out they were co-ed teams.  When she was 6 she started playing on a girls only team.  They play every fall and spring.  Half of the girls have played together all 5 seasons.  We are a pretty vocal (but VERY supportive) group of parents.  I mean, we even cheer for the other team when they have a good play, or block, or stop . . . whatever it may be.

The girls have a tournament this weekend.  As we left practice last night, Bella informed me that I couldn't yell at her games this weekend, or else I'd get a red ticket and they would kick me out of the game.  She proceeded to say . . .

" . . . and I don't want you kicked out of the game, because then you won't be here.  And if you're not here, who's going to drive me home?  Well, I guess I could just walk up the hill to Papi Guelos . . ."

I had to stop her there and assure her I wouldn't get myself kicked out of her game . . . although it seems she wasn't worried about me missing her games so much as how she would get home!!!

Olives, Part 2

Turns out Sophia is a fan of olives just like big sister!!!  I think Taco Tuesday may be her favorite as well.  Now we just have to get dad on board!

Yummy olives!

Bella ventured outside her norm for Tuesday and had some corn on the cob daddy picked up!
With chile.
Then she had a taco!

Busy Working

Bella is such a good big sister and always keeps an eye on Sophia in the mornings when I'm getting ready.  This morning she had some homework to finish and was working on it in the kitchen.  I heard her carrying Sophia out to the living room and say, "Now stay out of the kitchen Sophia, big sister is busy working!"  Man she cracks me up!!!

Go Hawks!

We are Seahawk fans . . . even when they stink!  Sophia and Papi were ready for the game yesterday.  Too bad the Hawks weren't!  Bella and I stayed in our pj's all day, so no picture for us!

Olives

Isabella loves olives.  LOVES olives.  Last night was "Taco Tuesday" for family night.  Bella always puts olives on her tacos, which are actually burritos . . . just don't call them that in front of her!  Anyway, as she was playing the "one for me, one for my taco game" she said, "Whoever made olives is a genius mom."  I told her no one made them, they grow on trees.  To which she replied, "Thank you God for making olive trees.  You are a genius!!!"
